Cleveland Way

Today I ran a short section of the Cleveland Way, from just above Swainby to Carlton Bank, 4.5 miles.   I chose this section because it was easily accessible from the A19 and also because it is a part of the Coast to Coast route from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay. I hope to complete the C2C next year so I suppose this was a bit of a reccee for that too. This section follows the edge of the escarpment with fantastic views north towards the industrial areas of Sunderland and Middlesbrough.
