About

My name is Maxine and I have a passion for the outdoors. I am a runner and have competed in several ultra marathons such as The Spine Challenger and Dales Way. I am a walker and have completed many routes in the Lake District, Snowdonia and Scotland. Most recently I spent time in the French Alps exploring sections of the Tour de Mont Blanc route. I am a qualified Mountain Leader and enjoy leading clients out in the mountains, sharing wild camping experiences and teaching the skills of navigation.

The aim of this blog is to share with you some of my outdoor adventures and maybe inspire you to go and explore new places. Perhaps you are thinking of doing a particular route, trail or long distance path and I may have a post to help you out with information on what to expect.

I will also share with you the kit that I use and will review items that I have found useful.

My other job is as centre manager of Peritia training, delivering courses in Outdoor, Forest School and Paediatric First Aid. I also work to support the development of other first aid trainers and centres. For more info on that side of my work go to www.peritiatraining.co.uk
